Hi Ken! I absolutely love your books. Your books introduced me to an entire to genre when I was 18. My roommate worked at Chapters bookstore and they were allowed to borrow books and she brought home ‘Fall of Giants’. Everyone in the house took their turn with it and each of us were hooked within the first few pages, it was all we talked about for weeks. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with the world and teaching us all so much.
Choosing my favourite book of yours is an extremely hard choice but Im going with the one that started it all for me!

Dear Ken,
Let me start by saying I have never written to an author before about one their works. I am a 23 year old woman and I read ‘The Pillars of the Earth’ two years ago. I have suggested your book to everyone book lover I've come across, introducing it as my favorite book ever. I love your style of writing and its ability to transport me to another time and place. It helped me bond with my husband's grandfather who is also a fan of your work.

I went to France last year with family and was delighted to see your books being sold at the top of Mont St. Michel. I just now started ‘World Without End’, and will continue to read all your books at a slow pace so that I can savor each one.

Thanks for the great books!

Hi Ken! Just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for every one of your books. With some anxiety issues, I can easily calm down and be transported to another era by delving into one of my favourite books, of which they are solely Ken Follett specials! ‘Eye of the Needle’ will always be number one and I love how strong female characters are a theme throughout your novels. Hope you are having a wonderful year and have a very merry Christmas!

All the best,

Dear Mr. Follett,
My mother and I have recently discovered your books and started buying them one after another over a short period of time. We are deeply impressed by the historical accuracy and the way you manage to make the reader feel with all the characters. It's an unforgettable adventure to experience these historical events through your books and I wish you health and many more years to honor us with many more books.

Best regards from a loyal reader

Dear Mr. Follett,

My name is Tamás Tömördi and I am writing to you from Hungary. Being quite a big fan of your work and your books, I have decided to send this little message, so I can share some of my thoughts with you and I also practice writing in English. I hope you will find this short letter interesting.

First and foremost, I have to tell you that Fall of Giants, Winter of The World and Edge of Eternity are probably the three best books that I have ever read from a contemporary writer -- you have to forgive me, but Victor Hugo and Leo Tolsztoj are still very impressive to me!

I want to say thank you for all of your hard work and I wish you and your nation the best for the future. I try to keep following the news about Brexit and I still have a little hope that this foolishness can be stopped and Britain can remain part of the European Union. I believe that the EU is a key to progress in the modern era and it is one of the best assurances of peace between the countries of our great continent.

Thank you again for the wonderful books and Happy Christmas to you and your family!

Yours sincerely,

Loved ‘Eye of the Needle’ and found the 2nd book of your Trilogy series in the process of one of my bookswaps for my Little Free Library and find it very interesting. Thanks for your writing and making me think along new historical lines (family-related).

Thoroughly enjoyed the Kingsbridge series. Read ‘Pillars’ 20-25 years ago then the Century series before finishing ‘Column’ and ‘World’ in the last 2 months. I knew of the horrors of the Spanish Inquisition but had no idea of the clash of Catholic and Protestants in Elizabethan England. While your books are fiction the horrors happened and are a stain on the religions involved. Religion seems to bring out the best but often the worst in mankind. Also surprised at the way women were treated during this time and before. Never been a fan of the English class system. While my American history education was comprehensive, my world history was lacking. Glad you were able to enlighten me. Keep up the excellent writing. Historical fiction is my favorite subject area as history has been my favorite area of study outside my professional area of finance and accounting.

First up Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thankyou for all your novels but especially for the Knightsbridge series. My wife and I find it hard to put them down once started and so we are very happy that you are writing another one. Hopefully you have a lot more of them in you as well as other ideas for other stories.

Thank you

I so far have read both the Century Trilogy and the Kingsbridge series and love them both. I love the history and blending of the characters made into each store.

I have finished your Kingsbridge trilogy. I wasn't able to put them down. I seldom write to authors, however I felt that since we both are getting older, and time passes and our heroes of our youth die before we even conceive to say, 'Thank You' that I would take this time just days after Christmas to tell you how much I've enjoyed not only the Kingsbridge novels, but to say I've been a fan ever since I was a teenager reading ‘The Key to Rebecca’, ‘Eye of the Needle’, ‘The Man From St. Petersburg’, et al. You've been a consistent contributor to my nightstand reading for decades. I wanted you to know I appreciate your work. I know how hard it is to write. I write for wargame magazines and have done so for 30 years. But I've never written a story. Always got bored with it at about 100 pages. Thus, I know the difficulties though I've not over come them. Thank you, thank you very much for your efforts.

I read, and loved, the first two Kingsbridge books (looking forward to reading Column of Fire)and The Century Trilogy. My sister is now loving them and we have bought copies of every one of your books between us. Thank you so much for so many hours of reading pleasure. We look forward to hearing about any future novels, and the opportunity to enjoy many of them on film... after reading them of course.

I’m sorry, I can’t pick a favourite because I have loved both Kingsbridge Series and The Century Trilogy in equal measure.

I hope this finds you well, Mr. Follett,
I am a new fan of your works, with a re-kindled love of reading because of my girlfriend. I am currently reading ‘Fall of Giants’ and it has struck a cord with my heart, as myself and my family have served and are currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. Your characters mixed with one of the most dangerous and global altering events in history have created a story that will not be forgotten.

Simply put, thank you.

I look forward to your letters. Please write to me via the Contact page, and do see earlier letters
