Have never read one of your books that I did not like. Keep up the good work.

I have enjoyed your books since I read ‘Eye of the Needle’ as a 17-year-old in 1979. I am eagerly awaiting the third book in the Century Trilogy. I’ve spent many years living in England and Germany as a member of the US Air Force so I feel especially close to several of the books whose locations I’ve been able to visit. Keep up the fabulous work, I look forward to many more books.

A man of your age, also guitarist, born in Europe but living in Kenya. Novels are hard to get by here in the province as Kenyans don’t read really. Found yours in the supermarket and was especially taken with your historical novels and the series depicting recent history. Wanted to say thanks and keep it up.

Just finished ‘Winter of the World’ a few weeks ago, and thank you thank you thank you again. I actually started the book while walking around in Vitoria looking for the cathedral to see your statue during my visit to the Basque country. And that was one of the things on the mental bucket list: Sitting by your statue as I read your book hehehe.
I’m now patiently waiting for ‘Edge of Eternity’. Which I’m sure will be just as incredible as ‘Winters’, as I call it :)
Hope to meet you soon!

Ken — I started reading your stories when ‘Eye of the Needle’ first came out — loved it and enjoyed many of your books since! I must take a moment though to thank you profusely for the pleasure of reading the first two Century Trilogy stories — how topical, historical, and emotional. I come from Irish and French blue collar background, and my dad was in WWII. can’t wait for 3!! in the meantime — just finished ‘The Pillars of the Earth’ — OMG — how wonderful. Thank you for being such a master story teller — you truly have enriched my life. God bless — and keep writing!!

I finished reading ‘Winter of the World’ and I think it is the finest book you have ever written. The ongoing development of the principal personalities was superb and with so many crossed lines the plot was like a spider web. Very fine writing sir and I eagerly await the 3rd book in the Century Trilogy.

Born in 1940 to a mining family in Derbyshire, I made it all the way to senior executive of an American manufacturing company. And retired to Phoenix, Arizona. I have just read ‘Fall of Giants’. It resonates very strongly with me. I still resent hereditary entitlement with a passion. A brilliant novel. Thank you.

If you’ve read several of my books, you might enjoy matching the first line with the title, or guessing the working title
