I’ve just finished reading ‘Jackdaws’ and couldn’t put it down! It was brilliant! I was totally gripped from page one. Well done, Ken. Keep them coming.

Dear Mr. Follett,
I will add to the many accolades I am sure you have had over the years and tell you that I have read many of your books (starting with ‘The Eye of the Needle’). In each one you have a wonderful skill in creating “immediate” characters that are easy to track as you jump between time points, country’s and family’s. You have only gotten better as the years have rolled by.

Reading your novels is also a history lesson, but you get a story to go with it. I am English and married to an American in Boston. We both learn/re-learn many of the historical facts you lay out in your novels. I hope they are as interesting and educational to you, as you do your research, as they are for us read?

My wife is doing arm exercises, so she can hold up the next book while reading in bed!

Thanks you for your hard work.

Sincerely,
Nick

Profound “thank you” for your work. You’re one of the best contemporary authors. I’m currently finishing ‘Fall of Giants’ and enjoying the story line to the max. My experience is doubly enhanced by fantastic narration (the accents there are absolutely delicious).

‘The Pillars of the Earth’ is my all time favorite book, followed by ‘World Without End’. I had previously read the paperbacks and the characters have haunted me ever since. I just figured out how to convert my iPad2 into a Kindle reader and have now downloaded 'Pillars’ and 'WWE’ as ebooks. I just re-read your introduction to ‘Pillars’ and had to write to tell you how much I enjoy the era of history that you have illuminated for me. Thank you so much! Once I’ve re-read these, I’ll start on your Century Trilogy.

Thanks again!

Dear Mr. Follett:
I just wanted to tell you I am reading ‘Fall of Giants’ and I am really enjoying. It has made me laugh and cry. I enjoy your books very much. I am anxiously waiting for the next book in the series.

I have seen ‘The Pillars of the Earth’ at least three times and read the book twice as many times. It is now starting to fall apart. I can’t wait for ‘World Without End’ to come out. I have read that book twice. It is very enjoyable.

Sincerely,

Hi Ken,
I just wanted to say that I love your writing. ‘The Pillars of the Earth’ was the first of your novels I have read, followed by its sequel; ‘The Key to Rebecca’, and ‘Fall of Giants’ this past summer. Your writing and accuracy are incredible. I had never had very much interest in WW1 until I read ‘Fall of Giants.’ I can’t wait for the next book!

My friend gave me an autographed copy of ‘Fall of Giants’ for my birthday. I had no idea of the book or author. I remember saying that I would need to go on holiday to tackle such a big book! Which I did. I was hooked and have since read more of your brilliant novels. I am currently half way through ‘A Dangerous Fortune’ (hooked again!). I don’t need to go on holiday to read your books now!! Thank you so much for all the history lessons!!!

I first read ‘Pillars’ two years ago, and now several of my friends and family have read it. Amazing work! After that I read and enjoyed ‘World Without End’ and ‘Night Over Water’. Just finished ‘Fall of Giants’ and am anxious for the next one. Each book has its own unique flavor. Thank you for the historical education and entertainment. Please keep writing!

Hi Ken,
hope you are well! Just a quick message to tell you how much I enjoy your writing. My favorite novel is ‘Pillars’. I know you had input in the TV series, and it showed! It was brilliant, although I still prefer the book!
I urged my partner to read the book. she did, and loved it. We have recently had twin girls, one of which we named Aliena. I wanted the other to be named Martha. Unfortunately I could not persuade my partner to agree to that one!
Anyway, thank you for writing such a great book, it has literally had an effect on me and my family. Good luck with your future work.

Yours

Dear Mr. Follett,
I would like to express our thanks for the pleasures we have had in reading your books. We have both read ‘Fall of Giants’ twice and it has a permanent place on our bookshelves as it will certainly be read again and we are both eager for the sequel to be published.

We have both read ‘World Without End’ twice and my wife and I have read ‘The Pillars of the Earth’, which is earmarked for a reread at a later date, so you can see we are real fans. I myself have read many of your other books, the first was ‘Eye of the Needle’, which hooked me into watching out for your name on the covers in bookshops.

Yours sincerely,

Hello Ken Follett
I’m a fourteen year old fan from Denmark. I was looking for more challenging books to read instead of the very boring books we read in school. My mother introduced me to ‘The Pillars of the Earth’, ‘World without End’ and ‘Fall of Giants’. These three books are the best I’ve ever read. Now I’m reading ‘Hornet Flight’ and ‘A Dangerous Fortune’. Thank you for giving us so many amazing books.

Keep up the fantastic work! I love your character development in all of your works. I highly recommend you to many people and have numerous discussions with many people I see reading your books. Most people agree that ‘Pillars’ is among our top favorite books if not our favorite and I encounter many people in my line of work as a flight attendant. I’m eagerly awaiting ‘Winter’! God Bless!

Hi Ken,
At 44 I have just read you for the first time. The characters in ‘Eye of the Needle’ are still with me a week after I have finished the book. Very cool.

I just wanted to say thank you for being so generous with your tips and techniques on your website. I draw, and I talk: what I suspected for years was that I was a graphic novelist. Now two agents are interested in the sample of my very first graphic novel (actually graphic memoir).

I am so excited about the future after years of frustration. I have a strong feeling that your words are going to be hugely useful for me, and I want to thank you in advance.

Thanks! (and for all your books I’ll be reading, too…)

Dear Ken,
I’m a very big fan of your style. I love your imagination, my son’s name is Merthin (he is 1 year old).

I’ll enjoy the television version of "Un monde sans fin". Actually, I’m reading "La chute des géants" (I don’t know the English title) it’s amazing, I can’t be without it !!!

Sorry for my English, I just want you know that a really little boy’s name is Merthin, thanks to you !

Best regards,

I must say it is a real pleasure to read every book you write. I just finished ‘Fall of Giants’ and I can’t wait to read the next one. I enjoyed it very much, both the story and the history behind it; we should all have it in mind everyday, to understand the present and make good decisions for the future.
Never stop writing.

Best,
