I just closed the book on ‘Fall of Giants’ and it was awesome. I am a history teacher and have taught this subject area for 30 years. I loved how you integrated such a depth of historical content into the fictional narrative. I can’t wait until 2012 and the continued saga. Thanks.

Mr. Follett, I just bought ‘Fall of Giants’, and wanted to thank you for the many hours of entertainment your novels have provided. At last count I have read ‘Pillars of the Earth’ seven times and ‘World Without End’ four times so you can imagine how ready I was for the release of ‘Fall of Giants’. I really wish you would pick up the pace a little (joking). Again, thank you.

I have just finished ‘Fall of Giants’ and I must tell you what a great read it is, a truly wonderful book. I now await book two… not too long I hope, as I am getting up there. I will be 87 next week, and I want to be around to read more about those interesting people that filled the pages of this book.

I just want to say thank you. Because of your books, my husband actually started reading for pleasure after 70 years. He suffers from mild dyslexia and while he has a master’s degree and taught physics for 30 years, he has never read for pleasure until I introduced him to you. In the last five years he has read almost all your books and he can’t wait for the second in the latest trilogy. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you so very much for the many hours of enjoyment. Your talent is amazing and a gift to readers. I have read at least half of your books starting with ‘Eye of the Needle’ so long ago. Almost done with ‘Fall of Giants’ and looking forward to the next!!

I have just completed ‘Fall of Giants’ and could not put it down. From the beginning house party to the conclusion the story sucks you in and you become a part of this period in history. I have been a devoted fan for many, many years and consider you a master of mystery thrillers – notably ‘Eye of the Needle’. This new trilogy is remarkable, entertaining and altogether wonderful. Thank you!!

I have read 9 of your books, and have enjoyed every one. Just got ‘Fall of Giants’ from my local library today and am finding it very hard to put down. Well done. I recommend you to all my other bookworm friends, and all the feedback is very positive. Thank you.

I have just finished reading ‘Hornet Flight’ and find it one of the best works of fiction I have ever read. Since I read a lot that includes a lot of books, including many of yours as well as many other fine authors. It was also very educational as I knew little about the Danish occupation during WWII. Thank you.

My 14-year old son read ‘Pillars’. His 12 year old brother followed suit and literally ran up asking me if there was a sequel. He’s got his nose in it now. (I loved ‘Pillars’, have to chase him on ‘Giants’.) You helped my American boys get a whole different view of what they’re seeing during our stay in France. Great books, thanks.

Hello Ken: I’m afraid I have to hold you accountable for the difficulty my wife has been having falling asleep at night! I simply cannot put down ‘World Without End’, and I’m reluctant to turn off my bedside light so my wife can get to sleep! Your books are absolutely wonderful, and I can’t wait to get started on ‘Fall of Giants’ – three in a row – YES! Thank you, Ken, and please keep them coming!

Hi Ken
Just finished watching the last mini episode of ‘Pillars of the Earth’, and I found it really gripping, I have recorded all the series, and will be watching it over and over again. I have to say most books made into films never match up, but this was a revelation. It was nearly as good as the book, I am and always will be a massive fan of yours, and always look forward to your new publications. Once again thank you for keeping me entertained.

Ken,
Just a short note to say how utterly fantastic ‘Fall of Giants’ is. I’m only about 80 pages in, but I am in awe of your skill as a writer. It’s the most compelling book I’ve ever read. I find myself feeling for the characters so much and being drawn into their different circumstances. I don’t know how you do it, but please keep it up.
Best regards,

I’ve never written to an author before, but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed ‘Pillars of the Earth’ and ‘World Without End’. I’ve never felt as sad finishing a book as I have with these two, so I have read them both twice now! I’ve read many of your other novels as well, but these occupy the top two places in my list of favorites. Thank you for writing these!

Just wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to write my first novel. I saw your outlines in Zuckerman’s book, then went to your website and perused Masterclass. Written 38 000 words so far. Bloody hard work. Most enjoyable. So thank you for helping and inspiring us. You really have made a difference to those of us who need direction. Who knows. Perhaps one day, in the vast swirling murk of unpublished works, something bright will catch the eye at the bottom of the pan. And that valuable thing might be a work that came to be as a result of your intellectual charity. Thank you.
