Here you will find selected letters you have written (earlier ones over the years are here), and a quick quiz.
I received these letters recently, and thought you would enjoy them as much as I did…

I wanted to tell you that yesterday (at 5 AM) I finished reading ‘The Pillars of the Earth’ and it has been an amazing experience. It’s not only my all-time favourite novel, but it has changed my point of view on many things. Although you probably receive thousands of e-mails like this one, I just wanted to thank you.

I just want to say I love your books, I love your style of writing, your books are so easy to “get into” and so hard to put down. When I read your books I get so engrossed in the people’s lives I find myself thinking about them even when I’m not reading and when the book is finished I feel I have lost a friend, then I pick up another book and find new friends. I’ve read more of your books than anyone else’s, I’m on reading ‘Pillars of the Earth’ at the moment and I am finding it fascinating, I’ve almost finished it and am looking forward to the sequel. Keep on writing great books for us to read.

I just wanted to write and say thanks for all of the excellent novels that you have written. I still consider ‘Pillars’ to be my favorite. I just finished ‘Hornet Flight’ this morning. I had gotten the book a year or so ago but had not found the time to read it until last week. I loved every paragraph of ‘Hornet Flight’. I hope that you continue to write that kind of story in the future.
Again, thanks for all of the many great hours of reading.
All the best,

I have just finished reading ‘Hornet Flight’ my first read of one of your books, it was one of the most compelling books I have ever read! intriguing suspense page after page. I would have been on the edge of my seat if I wasn’t reading it in bed! The only bad thing about it is that I’ve finished it. Thanks for writing it. I think I’ll read ‘Jackdaws’ next.

Dear Mr. Follett
I have just finished reading ‘Whiteout’ and all I can say is “Wow”. You have exceeded even your previous best sellers. It is seldom a book grips me the way this one did. Dinner, dishes, beds and other chores were thrown by the wayside as I buried myself into this speeding thriller. Thank you so much for giving so much pleasure to so many of us. (As a former Brit, I always enjoy a UK setting!)

Dear Mr Follett,
I have been reading your Masterclass and would like to thank you for being so forthright. Some of the hints you give, I have managed to discover myself the hard way, but others are proving invaluable in my writing.
If you’ve read several of my books, you might enjoy matching the first line with the title, or guessing the working title
